The annual
IndustryWeek/Manufacturing Performance
Institute Census of Manufacturers is a study of manufacturing metrics,
management practices and financial results at the plant level.
IndustryWeek and the Manufacturing Performance
Institute surveyed China's leading manufacturers -- plants that were
either ISO 9001 certified or in the process of certification or
recertification. In the IW/MPI China Manufacturing Study,
China plants were surveyed with a questionnaire measuring many of the
same metrics included in the IW/MPI Census of Manufacturers, which
assesses U.S. manufacturing practices and performances.
