IndustryWeek webcasts are informational in nature. They address
trends, technologies, or strategies that appeal to manufacturers.
They never include sales presentations, "hard-sells" or product
demonstrations.
Each webcast uses a theme that appeals to a senior level manufacturing
audience. The final topic and abstract is agreed upon by the sponsor
and IndustryWeek.
Format
Many IndustryWeek-hosted webcasts adhere to the following format:
5 minute introduction by an IW editor
20 minute presentation by a third-party expert presenter (industry
analyst, president of an association, respected author, professor,
etc.) selected and supplied by the sponsor
10-15 minute presentation by one of sponsor's customers
5-10 minute presentation by an executive from sponsor
15 minute Q&A session, moderated by IW editor, using questions
submitted by the audience
However, other formats are sometimes used, depending on the lineup of
speakers and the goals for each event.
